Whether your student needs to improve their critical reading or develop the compositional skills necessary to succeed in high school and beyond, Dennis is happy to form a supplemental educational plan that best suits your needs. He understands that tutoring should be both low-stress and additive, so he tailors his approach to student curriculums, making sure to benchmark himself against measurable outcomes.

Workshops

While away on his Master’s program, Dennis developed and led a creative writing workshop for high school students. He would be thrilled to take this multi-part program to your classroom.

The workshop maintains three goals:

  1. Leave students with practical skills in drafting and editing creative works.

  2. Provide editorial experience, both in thinking critically about peer work and in considering one’s own piece in a broader publication.

  3. Spark a passion for a form, be it short story, essay, or poem; each workshop participant will walk away with a zine of their and their peers’ work.
